Roxy the American Pitbull Terrier Puppy
Roxy’s mom says: The moment we met Roxy we knew she was the puppy we were looking for. Bad things are said about her breed but she is the sweetest, happiest puppy I know. When people or animals are around, her tail never stops wagging. Roxy loves the kitty that she lives with. She loves to play in the snow and bark at things out the window. But the thing that makes her happiest is Pig’s ears (treats).

Pixel is a sweet playful kitten. She was born in May 2007, and we adopted her in July. She like to climb and run and snuggle.

Willy the Labradoodle Puppy
Willi’s says (in his own words): Hello there. You smell grrreat! What’s your name? My name definitely has the word “Willy” in it. Sometimes they call me “Chilly Willy” when my paws are cold. I hear “Silly Willy” when I am excited and feeling goofy. “Willy Nelson” because I have red hair and and came all the way from Texas with a sweet crooning voice. And then there’s “Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory” when I do a hurry up for mommy. One time I heard “Wet Willy” when I get a “bath”, and I guess that means I get to have fun in the water with dad. The one thing I know for sure is that everybody really loves me so much and each day is full of fun and surprises…and treats for when I am a good boy, which I think is always.

Cleopatra

This is Cleopatra, a feral orphan I rescued last year. She and her brother were found mewing in the horse pasture at dusk, eyes barely open and still-wobbly legs. They took to human house living immediately. I raised them to adoption age and gave Cleo to a co-worker. She named her Cleo because she thinks she’s a queen. Follows her human like a dog, goes for a walk each night after work, now lives like the Queen she knows she is…

Mia the German Shepherd Puppy
Mia’s mom says: Mia is a very playful and smart puppy. At seven weeks old she learned to sit, lay down and shake; at eight weeks she learned to speak and at ten weeks she learned to play dead. Her favorite toy is a stuffed animal which she knows as her “baby.” Mia just recovered from parvo. We weren’t sure if she was going to pull through, but she proved to be a very resilient dog and fought it off. Mia loves children and children love Mia. All of the neighborhood kids ask to play with Mia and whenever they see her, they run over to play with her. We hope to train Mia to be a therapy dog at a children’s hospital so she can be around children, which she loves, and so that she can help raise their spirits at the same time. Mia is still very young and has a lot of growing up and learning to do, and though we love the puppy stage of her life, we are looking forward to seeing the mature dog she is yet to be.

Lacey

This is my little princess Lacey, who loves to get in mommy’s plants! This picture was taken six months ago, she’s growing up fast with the fluffiest gray fur and amber eyes. We adopted her brother Earl too, but he’s siamese. What a great couple we’ve added to our home.

Patchouli the Beagle Puppy
Patchouli’s parents say: Patchouli is a really cool two and a half moths beagle. As we say here, he’s a nose on four legs. His eyes catch the attention instantly. Inside, they are brown green and one outside, they’re as blue as the sky. He is extremely affectionate and joyful but also cuddly and he loves to sleep on everybody’s knee.

Polar

This is a baby picture of Polar. I think it was taken at about three months old. His favourite hobby is eating. When we are not looking, he’ll steal food from our table, then repent when we catch him. Very cute but very naughty.

Barney the Golden Retriever Puppy
Barney’s mom says: We live in Ryde NSW Australia. We found out about Barney and his litter on his breeders website, went to visit him at 5 weeks and fell in love with him. He was quiet but friendly and unbelievably beautiful… a total little fluff ball. We visited again at 7 weeks and then brought him home at 8 weeks. He went to Puppy school for 4 weeks and graduated after winning 2 different competitions. We have now started Canine College and he is doing ok, but we have our work cut out for us teaching him all the things he needs to learn. He is now 4 1/2 months old and weighs close to 20kilos. He is now too big for me to carry him around but I still try. He likes to look at himself in our new built in robe mirrors and he too knows how absolutely lovely he is.I don’t even mind getting up every morning at 5.45am when he decides is the best time to play. I couldn’t possibly have hoped for a more gorgeous puppy, in both looks and personality.

Shady

This is my little meezer/mix who came to us along with three other feral siblings and their mamma when he was only five weeks old. He’s incredibly resourceful - as you can see him standing guard at our onetime bird-feeder. Someone forgot to tell him the birds moved out so everyday he climbs up to it and when smaller he would even nap beneath it’s little roof. He’s healthy, strong and loves outdoor adventure. Like all meezers though he comes in for his long-term love fests in our laps.
